Most businesses come to me for a website, and most take SEO alongside it for the first five months, because a site that nobody finds does not bring in enquiries. Branding sits alongside both: I started as a designer, so the logo, the website and the signage can all come from the same hand.
Website design and build
I design and build every site myself, usually in 1 to 2 weeks. Custom sites are written in code and speed-tested with Google Lighthouse before launch; where WordPress, Shopify or Wix suits the business better, I use those.

Branding and logo design
I started out as a graphic designer in print in 2012. A branding project gives you everything you need to look the same everywhere.

How working together goes
- We talk. By phone or in person, never a video call. I want to know what the business does, who it is for and what the website needs to do.
- You get a quote. Written for your business. There is no price list, because no two jobs need the same thing.
- You see it first, if you like. Ask, and I will send a free preview of your homepage within 2 to 3 working days.
- I design and build it. Usually in 1 to 2 weeks. You see it as it comes together and tell me what to change.
- It goes live. Tested with Google Lighthouse first. Any fixes in the first 60 days after launch are free.
- The SEO months. A baseline report at the start, progress updates along the way, and a closing report against the baseline.
The terms, in plain English
- Most clients spread the website over five monthly payments, with SEO included for those five months. You can also pay for the site in one go.
- At the end of the five months I ask whether you want to carry on with SEO. Nothing continues automatically.
- SEO on its own, without a new website, is paid monthly. You can stop at any time, and you are only charged for work carried out.
- You own your website from day one. If you ever move on, I hand the files over and help with the move.
- Fixes are free for 60 days after launch.

Who it suits
Small businesses that want one person to deal with, from trades and local services to shops and specialist firms. I am based in Ashford, Kent, and meet clients in person wherever I can; I also work with businesses across the UK by phone.
It suits you if you want a site that is quick, clear and yours, and you would rather see honest monthly progress than be promised page one.

Questions people ask
- Why are there no prices on the site?
- Because every job is different. A one-page site for a sole trader and a shop with a hundred products are not the same work, so I quote each project for the business in front of me.
- Do I have to keep paying for SEO after five months?
- No. At the end of the five months I ask whether you want to carry on. If you do not, nothing else is charged and the website is still yours.
- Can I have SEO without a new website?
- Yes, if your current site is sound. It is a monthly fee quoted for your business, you can stop whenever you like, and you only pay for work I have carried out.
- What happens if I want to leave?
- You own the site from day one, so you take it with you. I hand over the files and help whoever takes it on.
- Do you write blog posts?
- Yes, as part of SEO. Monthly SEO includes a blog post, or as many as we agree, written around the searches your customers make.
- Who will I be dealing with?
- Me, John Lally. I design and build every site and do the SEO myself, from the first conversation to the reports.
