Custom sites are built in code and tested with Google Lighthouse before they go live. Where WordPress, Shopify or Wix suits the business better, I use those instead.
Harbour town, high street, beach
Ramsgate businesses face very different customers. Someone booking a table near the Royal Harbour, a visitor heading for Main Sands and a regular popping into a shop on Addington Street or York Street are not reading the same page. I write each site for the people who really walk through your door.

Ramsgate searches split between the website and getting it found, and a fair number ask for a freelancer rather than a firm. That is what I am: one person, from the first sketch to the monthly rankings check, which is why this page covers both services rather than one.
The local business picture
Thanet had 4,790 businesses at the March 2026 count, and 4,325 of them (90%) were micro businesses with fewer than 10 employees.
Thanet’s total takes in Margate and Broadstairs as well as Ramsgate. Nine in ten of those firms are micro businesses, so the sites I build here are planned around one owner who needs to update a menu or opening times without help.

Local search checklist for a Ramsgate business
- Put your Ramsgate address and a map on the contact page, and make sure it matches your Google Business Profile word for word.
- If you trade differently in summer and winter, update your profile hours and photos as the season changes; an out of date profile costs more calls than a missing one.
